The Great Harvest Tennis Social

Fall is in the air.  For this social, we chose a harvest theme for two reasons. #1, Our first priority is to use this event to gather food for the 2nd Harvest food bank. Please donate as much or as little as you can of any nonperishable item that you would like. #2, Our contest for best harvest dish revolves around things that are harvested in the month of October. The contest has two categories, a savory dish and a sweet dish. According to Google, October harvest items that you can use for your dish are:

Vegetables - Beetroot.  Broccoli.  Brussels sprouts.  Cabbages.  Cauliflower.  Celery.  Chicory.  Endives.  Lettuces.  Tomatoes.

Fruit - Cranberries.  Grapes.  Melons.  Raspberries.  Strawberries.

FYI, the Tennis director plans on doing a dish with raspberries. The club will provide soda and bottled water.

Games, rotating doubles, prizes, food and fun with friends provided.

Red Dot Tennis Tournament

A fun, new and exciting way to play tennis!  All genders, ages and levels are invited to compete in the 1st annual Red Dot Tournament.  What makes this tournament stand out is that kids play on a mini tennis court, using a Red Dot tennis ball and a small junior racquet.  Utilizing a slower, bigger ball on a small court with a small racquet challenges the player’s ball control.  Since striking the ball out of the air is not allowed, the result is long intense rallies making it fun for all levels.
